Chez Mal - Glasgow

You didn't have our booking. They were very nice, but brought us the wrong order, which meant that we had to wait far longer than we had. Then they brought us another duplicate from our order after we were finished. So the service was shambia. Eating was nice, but I can see why they were almost empty. Wouldn't recommend it.

After many reviews on TripAdvisor I booked dinner at Chez Mal, although we were at Dakota. Upon arrival, our reservation could not be found, but fortunately there were replacement tables. When ordering drinks, I had to choose a third choice, as there were problems with gas for collection and storage problems with filled beer. Food order, my first choice was not available??????? After all, our food arrived and the waiter served the plates with the abstention and ignorance that further intensified the situation. The last straw came when my wife was undercooked. We asked to talk to the manager who treated the situation professionally and gave us a full refund to compensate for a very disappointing evening. We returned to the Dakota, who saved the last night of our holiday. With excellent food, service and go the extra mile.

Mixed feelings about the place. Beautiful atmosphere and interior design. The staff did not have our booking and seemed quite clear to find a table for it. It was a Saturday night, but the place was half empty (and so stayed at night). We were told that we were waiting at the bar, which is clearly never served, and we were finally offered drinks by a surprised and uncertain employee (clearly not used to order drinks from the bar). We got a table and had a good service from there. The starters were exceptionally good, the networks were somewhat disappointing. It was unclear that the steaks came without accompaniment bar the onion, which was a little disappointing. Desert and wine were both beautiful and in fairness we did not feel forced to leave after 2 hours what happened in other farms

Our table was not reserved so we had to wait until our table was built. Due to a function that lasts elsewhere, we had a long waiting period for our main course, about 1 hour and 15 minutes after the starter. At that time our wine had been consumed. The staff apologised for delay and gave us free appetiser before our starter. The food was excellent. It will take a long time to consider going back.
