Great place to breakfast, they have cold dishes in the buffet and hot dishes to order from a menu. lively and beautifully decorated. I liked her mushroom and cheese omelette and they also have a delicious hot chocolate.
I had blythswood square on my list for a visit for a good wee during. sister hotel of the excellent bonham in edinburgh, I would immerse a few times for drinks, but had not the opportunity to review their restaurant until now. I was accompanied today by the regular gas snake tim and the first timer ian. ian has recently been awarded with the obe, so may be the most fantastic person we have on quests, to date.
Restaurant overwhelmed.? with grandiose Scottish inspired environments that cover the original columns and complicated, the blythswood square is a pretty intimidating look! we sat near the window on a comfortable tweed couch. the personal was initially pleasant, but when the restaurant became more business, they began to lose control very clearly. every diner must predict that the service will be slower by 8.30 clock on Saturday, but almost 40 minutes wait for 5 main courses each day at any season is a bit much. When that came, it was not bad, but I was so hungry that I almost ate my serviette. obviously good quality ingredients, and well boiled, but eating lacked imagination and was inconceivable. Read more
Lovely Lunch. We had lunch today and chose predominantly from the very well priced market menu (3 courses £20). The food was excellent in particular the Aberdeen Angus beef main course The staff were incredibly polite and pitched the level of service perfectly. Unsurprisingly the venue is incredibly plush I can strongly recommend this restaurant. it very definitely feels special and is completely unpretentious.
