Just Thai - Gisborne

The sizzling beef plate was our first meal in Gisborne, and I ended up scraping the plate clean. The beef was seared to perfection, the vegetables were crisp, and the sauce had great flavor without being spicy, which I think is the ideal complement for that dish. And don't miss out on the money bags as an appetizer—they are so good that if they weren't hot out of the fryer, I would eat them in one bite!

What a beautiful little boutique shop! It has a charming theme that runs throughout, making it a delightful find. The atmosphere is cozy and trendy, located just across the street from where the city's rivers meet, complete with picturesque pathways. I loved exploring the space and appreciated the artwork, installations, and the overall theme. It's truly a quaint little spot.

I've been craving my green curry with pineapple for days, so I finally decided to place a takeaway order. When I called, the lady mentioned that the combo might not taste great, and I just laughed, assuring her that it's my favorite, even if it sounds unusual. When I picked up my order, I felt a bit concerned because I didn't see an extra charge on the receipt, especially since I was craving this specific dish! Once I got home and plated it up, I was thrilled to find a LOT of pineapple in my curry. It truly made my day, my week, and even the past two weeks I've spent traveling for work. Such a small gesture brought me so much joy. Thank you, team!

As a Thai expat, I am very selective about which Thai restaurant I would go to. I can honestly say that coming to Just Thai Cuisine made me feel right back at home. Beautiful pad Thai and curry puffs , was very pleased that you give 5 curry puffs, as all other places only give 4. Very delicious takeaway , place was very busy for a Sunday night when I went in to pick up. Warm atmosphere and friendly lady at the counter. Will definitely come back to dine in next time. Great food
