Arigato Mums Sushi - Gisborne

Until around a year ago i used to love coming here and would get something at least once a week,that was until i got my usual vegetarian options and ended up with the worst food poisoning of my life.since i’d never gotten sick eating here before , i came back again about a month later because it was convenient while hanging out with friends and i tried to justify to myself that i’d been here plenty of times and had never gotten sick and that maybe it had been something else i’d eaten that day.unfortunately i got sick again by lucky didn’t have to deal with vomiting until 1am and instead struggled for the next 18 hours.

Disappointed that you have suddenly decided to enforce the mandates. Also, without providing alternative methods to serve all your customers as have other places have. Considering I have visited your shop several times over the last month including last Thursdays only to discover your no longer open to all customers. So I took my money visited the other sushi place that cater for all their customers. I am less likely to visit you in the future when this craziness stops.

I love my sushi honestly and tried some places, and this place has another variety of sushis and it is absolutely delicious. I was impressed by it, so I just want you to know that if you're looking for sushi places, that's it. travel when they need to go to gizzy and have it. amazing!

Nice Sushi with a good selection of Sushi options. Presentation was great (as it should be with Sushi). Seemed to be popular with the locals. There seems to be a chain of the Mum's Sushi shops. We had some really nice Sushi at the Wairoa shop and saw another one in Gisborne at Kaiti while driving to Wainui.

It is a self-serve restaurant, but you can also order some hot plates at the counter which I have never tried. You pick your food up, either to eat in or take away and pay at the counter. They are very consistent with types of food served. A good variety, but always the same types. Nice and polite staff.
