Iron Skillet - Girard

This is an outstanding dining spot. The salad bar was impressive, and the servers and managers were wonderful.

This restaurant offers excellent food and fantastic service. It's not just a spot for truckers; it's also a great family-friendly place. The buffet is always fresh and served hot.

For the price, the quality was really disappointing. I ordered fish and chips along with a drink, and I received just one piece of fish that I could barely eat, along with a smaller portion of fries than you would get with a small order at McDonald's—all for $17.38. It’s no surprise I was the only customer there. I think I'm done with Iron Skillet. It's clear that the restaurant has really declined; it used to be the go-to place, but not anymore. It's no wonder they’re closing locations.

I visited this restaurant three years ago and had a terrible experience with the service. I decided to give it another chance today. We initially sat at a table, but no one came to take our order, so we moved to the counter. After sitting there for over five minutes without getting any service, I couldn't believe it. I would understand if they were busy, but there were only a few customers in the place. We ended up going down the road to Waffle House, which was bustling with people, and the service there was much better. I'm done with Iron Skillet—goodbye!

I typically do one or more 34-hour resets at the Petro in Girard, Ohio, each month, but it's been a couple of months since my last visit. At first, the servers in the Iron Skillet were friendly, but then they handed me the check before I even started my meal. As I was finishing up, the server asked if I wanted anything else. I pointed out that she had already given me the check without checking if I was done. Unfortunately, she proceeded to speak poorly about me to her co-worker. I usually leave generous tips, but this server only received what she deserved.
