Restaurant Mountain - Gimmelwald

We had several times this lunch in the mountain hostel . beautiful location on the back terrace, great view, simple menu, but pizzas are amazing, all homemade and very fresh, with a cold local beer, we would go in spite... come and return, thank you

We tried a lot to foot, so we thought we would try. we were glad we made it! this restaurant outdoors is a popular stop for the hikes over ferrata, as well as hikers like us. be ready to wait for them. you eat as the kitchen is very tiny. the staff was great and eating was a happy surprise. from the restaurant you enjoy a beautiful view.

My tante and I did not stay in this hostel, but we cost a day in gimmelwald. after some hikes and a beautiful day, we agree that the rough brewing beer was the best we had in Europe. so crisp and refreshing. a relaxed day of tourism. truly, the best views everywhere.

We were just going to grab some beers after the trek from Mürren, but the view was so spectacular that we decided to nibble, rest and enjoy the location. The menu is small but the food is top notch. I ordered the goat cheese and...beet salad and It was one of the best meals I had in my week of Swiss travels. The salad was fresh and the presentation 5 star. My husband's soup was hardy and delicious. The service was super friendly. We did not stay in the Hostel, but I would definitely consider it on my next trip. The cable car station is only a 5 minute walk.

In the middle of the Swiss Alps (literally) we discovered the most genuine and friendly restaurant with the best view in the world!! Simple but tasty food at affordable prices for the area (as it is joined to the backpackers) and incredible service. We returned...each night of our stay in Gimmelwald and were greeted warmly by the lovely waitress dressed in traditional Swiss costume. She went out of her way continuously to make sure our meals were to our expectations and we would highly pass on a recommendation to anyone travelling in the area. Not to be missed!
