I ordered the luke cover and I think I fell in sandwich honey. each component of the sandwich is solely in delicious taste, but complement each other so perfectly. I will come back to try all the other sandwiches. service was also absolutely excellent! so friendly and helpful. they can say that the personal is proud of this fine decor. the decoration and the vibe is just the cherry on the head.
Wanted to check out this spot. Stopped in for lunch after a hike and holy cow ? all the sandwiches sounded amazing. Tough decision. The two we got (Vulcan mind meld and pastrami) where huge and amazing. The vinaigrette on the mini side salad was delicious. The bread was soft and chewy. The cheese covered tots w/ bacon was great! Definitely worth the visit. Spend more than thought $50 for 2 sandwiches, Tots, a beer and drink. But left feeling overly full. Could have split a sandwich.
The menu has so many interesting choices. I settled on the Vulcan Mind Melt. The sandwich and chips were very, very good. The staff was polite and the location was quite clean. However, for the sandwich alone is was 15.09 out the door and I kinda feel like the sandwich was small for that price. If you're looking for a lot of food at a decent price, this is not the place. If you're looking for something really tasty and can afford it, there is a lot to choose from here.
On the pricey side, but everything we got was fantastic. We got the surf City Philly, the classic hot pastrami, and the Fig's pig. We also got the $4 dessert called Its it ice cream Sando Had NO clue what that was, so I asked the cashier... they explained it was an ice cream sandwich made with 2 oatmeal cookies, and the whole thing dipped in chocolate It sounded like it was hand-made in the store (just like the sandwiches)! But instead, it was just something that Walmart sells for 79 cents, so quite a bummer when you are expecting something hand-made (which would have been totally worth the $4) and instead get a 500% markup on something that Walmart sells a block away. Store owner states they sell the 5.5 oz version (instead of the 3.5 oz version that Walmart sells) so theirs is 57% bigger. So, if Walmart sold that same size, it would be $1.24. Still, $4 for a $1.24 Walmart item (of the same 5.5 oz size) is a bit steep. Surf City could charge just $2 or $3 and still have super fat 38% and 59% profit margins, respectively (and not have to pay any high shipping costs from the factory). Or better yet, they could make them at the store with fresh baked cookies that would be an amazing upgrade to their menu! If large enough, could even charge $5! People go out to eat for freshly made food, not factory food out of a cardboard box from Walmart. Just like you chose to make fresh-made potato chips in store, l (awesome instead of offering boring bagged chips from Frito-Lay. Great decision! Simply suggesting you do the same with the desserts! Food for thought
Bummed this cute surfer vibe sandwich shop was far from Killer’. I spend almost $40 on 3 sandwiches. I personally ordered the PORK BELLY BANH MI- be sure to check out my photo. Biting into 85%pork fat, was not great. The customer service was not very inviting for a first time customer either. The only positive thing I can say is that their collection of Tiki Glasses were nice.
