Moreno's Mexican Grill - Gilbert

This is a go-to spot for lots of folks in the area. Friendly staff, typical/reasonable prices, delicious fajitas, pollo fundido, and chile relleno. Can't say I've really ventured out of those items but they are good and keep me coming back. Service isalways quick, quality is good, the chicken is white meat, shrimp is good and not fishy, and the green salsa is the best. Freshchips and salsa with your meal and generally meals come with refried beans and yummy spanish rice. It is American Mexican foodbut definitely hits the spot. We usually eat in the restaurant but there is always tons of take out and delivery happening whenI dine here. Also the horchata is good and they offer a variety of fresca in addition to soda and bottled beer or margaritas.Cozy and clean atmosphere and they go all out on their decorations for the holidays. We've seen large parties here, they do havebooths in addition to tables that can be pulled together for larger parties, however the place is not big enough to handlemultiple large parties so consider going during non peak times if you have a larger party. I hope this place never changes, it'sa staple for us where we dine here probably at least once a month.

I have visited this restaurant many times, but parking can be an issue, and I've noticed that cleanliness has become a concern over the past year. It could really benefit from a professional deep cleaning.

Dining out is usually enjoyable, but there were issues with receiving the correct order. When it was time to settle the bill, the staff seemed happy, but they didn't provide any solutions for the mix-up with my order. I waited for 15 minutes before I hung up and tried calling again, but every time I reached out, they ended the call on me.

I had the carne asada fries, and they were crispy, fresh, and hot. I really appreciated that the fries were well-seasoned as well. However, if the salsa had a bit more flavor, I would have given it a perfect 5 stars. I visited on July 23, 2022.

The meat was extremely dry, as if it had been sitting out all day—it really should have been thrown away. However, the cashier was friendly. This location on Gilbert and Germann was disappointing. I've been to other locations, and they are much better!
