Senryu - Gifu

A japanese friend took me to this teppanyakki. Amazing experience, a restaurant own by family generations with knowledge of their products

A meat restaurant with a wonderful atmosphere. I had a steak and they cook before me what was delicious. When booking, I recommend that you request a room with a river view.

It's a little hidden and tricky to find, but it's totally worth it. The staff didn't speak english at all, but they tried their best and were really kind, friendly. The food was amazing! The cheapest you can get is around ¥9,000 per person but it's worth it. :

My Japanese wife and I were taken here as a Wedding gift in 1987. It was the most fabulous eating experience of our young lives. The food, the service and the hospitality were above and beyond expectation. In the subsequent years we have hosted special occasions with her Gifu based family and were always treated with friendliness, respect and appreciation for our continued patronage. Today we were heartbroken. We hosted a family reunion and my wife and I were severely disappointed. Gone was the friendliness and welcoming spirit that we thought to be a staple of Senryu’s service. Gone was the hospitality. Gone was the banter and interest in us, their guests. The food itself was delicious as always, but for the price you expect delicious food. Gone was the ambience, the hospitality and the friendliness. My wife and I will no longer patronize Senryu and we are sorry that this once exceptional restaurant is now no longer worth the visit.
