Taste of Bangkok - Gießen

After several months in Southeast Asia, I came across this snack bar, which is still quite new, on Frankfurter Straße, near the main station.Since I always found it difficult to get authentic Thai food in German lands, that was not adapted to the regional taste, my expectations were not particularly high.However, Key of Bangkok convinced me after several visits to the contrary. Here you can actually get authentic Thai food, whose taste reminds me of all the delicious dishes I have eaten so much in Thailand. Maybe hot spices are used a little less than in Thailand, but if you ask for it, I am sure, the cook can serve your personal hotness taste perfectly. The ambience is more like an upscale snack bar and not a restaurant (it was one of the best kebab stalls in Giessen in here), but the crew made a clear effort to make the decor appealing. You are served at the table. All dishes are vegetarian dishes, that can be upgraded with chicken, beef or fish. Traditional Thai soups are also on the menu (love them!). At lunch time you get a dish of the day, for a little reduced charge. Perfect for eating yourself trough the menu ;-)The place is great for lunch time, as the service is fast, although all dishes are prepared fresh!The service is a little short handed to be honest. But this is basically due to the fact, that only Thai work in this place, most of whom are not perfectly familiar with the German language. But the service is still more than good enough for getting a nice lunch.
