Donuts And Breakfast - Giddings

This spot is a perfectly fine place to stop for breakfast. We arrived for a late breakfast, around 11 am. Plenty of seating available. I ordered 2 eggs over easy with sausage. The eggs were cooked perfectly. The hashbrowns were not crispy which was a little disappointing, butter on toast didn't seem like real butter. My husband and grown son ordered the Chicken friend steak w/ eggs the serving was huge! Overall, I enjoyed my breakfast. Service was friendly and prices were extremely reasonable! (I'm from California)

First of all the service was and has been the last 4 times I have been in Mel's was awful. They don't smile! I had a roast beef plate it was awful!Breakfast is the only thing that the cook knows how to cook! It shouldn't be that way. I don't think I will go back.

Donuts were barely edible, taco was all potatoes, and coffee tastes like dirty water.

My family and I loved coming here to get donuts but after what we heard about last month, we will no longer support their business. Disgusting.
