A Massaria - Giardini-naxos

Another recommendation from a business partner knowing well the Taormina-region and again we were not disappointed. It feels like you are eating in the garden of an Italian host. But it’s quite a big garden, so do ‘t expect a private, romantic session. The evening we were there, there were actually 3 ! family parties, but we liked it; interesting to see how Italians enjoy food and drinks in a party-setting. The food was really nice and the staff very friendly and helpful.

My husband and I are visiting from Australia. We spent a beautiful evening at A Masseria for a family gathering. The atmosphere and service was great. The 5 course meal was delicious and attractively presented. A beautiful Sicilian dining experience. We will definitely dine here again when we visit Sicily again.

The food wasn’t bad but the services was beyond a joke. I actually started to get worried that our waiter had fallen over somewhere and needed help. Our drinks never arrived (ever! we waited 1 hour for dessert. Actually quite humorous in the end and the reasons given the staff gave us for issues were laughable. The staff were arguing in the corridors so there are clearly some issues going on behind the scenes.

It was a quiet Easter Monday at lunch today, so quiet that It made me feel awkward to take a seat and eat all by myself, but I am glad I gave it a shot: will definitely return ! The entreè (vegetarian) was delicate, non greasy with an artistic touch! The fresh squid was even better and last the supreme panna cotta. Even the bread was slightly toasted and warm! The local white wine was just perfect.

Nice local with discreet cuisine, pizza remains best dish to order accompanied by a good wine
