It should be sipping a nice cup of coffee, reading your book and eating your food and not anyone asking me to leave the place!!! No!! This is not my friend’s café; these guys are not even running any campaign. Well, The Reader’s café at Ghaziabad offers the same gesture to its every customer.Located in very people’s friendly location, The Readers café is a nice and new concept in Ghaziabad. Moreover, to start something like this not in Delhi-NCR must be a challenge for the restaurant owner. The name of the café attracts us the most and we made our mind to enter without giving a second thought. However, the whole interior design, the use of multiple colours, lightning and coloured steel chair, lots of books, dining and reading room in one Big-room were those impressions created in my mind.Belonging to the reader’s of my own club, I whispered to my friend. “Shall we go to the book-side and check some books.” Annoyingly she turned to me and said, “Yeah, why not! But, we also have to find a table and get something to eat.”Well, by the time she completed her sentence I was standing next to the books shelves, smelling the pages of new books and figuring out how can I read all these books in one-lifetime. Alas, I don’t know! I bored her! We chose to sit next to the book-shelve (I didn’t asked her concern) where some comics such of Phantom or Nagaraj were placed in the table reminding me about my school-days! Meanwhile, it was the time to order something. The larger than life, the book-style menu is food-book of the restaurant with title: Foreword, Prologue, Chapter 1, Chapter 2, Short Stories, Main stories, Epilogue, Writer’s muse and conclusion. The choice of food is very-much like any other café offering wide varieties of choice including, Cheesecake, Muffin, Shakes, Tea, Coffee, Panini, Pia, Burger, Pasta, Wedges, French Fries, Garlic Bread, Fish, Chicken, Salad, etc. The hardest task was to choose what to eat, have a look on what we choose to binge upon:White Sauce Pasta: Full of cheese, earthly flavour, completed with sauces.Rate: 3.5 out of 5 Mushroom-Risotto: I wished if they could have added wine to make it little less-dry. I was not very impressed with the Risotto. It got same taste as pasta with less cream.Rate: 2 out of 5French Vanilla Coffee: It was normal coffee with Vanilla Essence, little confused with calling it “French-Vanilla.”The only difference with Cappuccino it had that Cappuccino had its taste and coffee flavour.Rate: 3 out of 5The founder, Shruti Upadhyay really did the marvellous job behind the whole idea of The Reader’s Café. Apart from the talk that everybody is in the market to make money, these café also comes up with a human touch, many times makes your days and sometimes give you the reason to think. The cost for Two: Rs. 1100 Star: 3 out of 5
I liked the concept - relax with a book and a cup of coffee - and the ambiance. the place is nicely done with book shelves and comfy couches, however, i felt that the coffee itself is over-priced considering the serving size. Guys, plz do something about it...

My son and I visited The Readers cafe at Indirapuram habitat centre and had a wonderful experience .Had ordered veg lasagnia and burger .The service was quick .The taste was awesome. The servers were cheerful and friendly. It happened to be the first anniversary of the cafe .so we were asked to pick a chit and win something .To our delight we got a complimentary gellato.Well the cafe is very tastefully decoratedAt the entrance the handles look like two huge pencils .That sets the mood as you enter there are loads of books.Truly such fun browsing through them We had a delightful time reading the books while we waited. The burgers were served in a quaint handcart. Our bill was brought in a very cute bucket that brought a smile on our face.A lovely place which I will recommend to all my friends.
Its a nice cozy place to sit with a cup of coffee reading your favourite book. A nice collection of international best sellers and fiction books. I visit there whenever I am at IHC.
