Surprisingly you only find the Chicken Inasal on the next pages of the menu. So they don't really focus too much on their primary dish. I love the flavor of their Pecho. It's a big portion for Php 125 and well cooked. Another must have is their Kare Kare Gulay, Php 175. Its slightly bland but the shrimp paste makes it a perfect bite. It has a good texture with actual peanuts present.
BBQ Breakfast! I remember this place from my good old consulting days here in the Philippines. friends of mine who'd get out of work shortly before lunch would invite me to join them for a BBQ breakfast at this place. Heads up: If you belong to those people who get annoyed by Filipinos speaking with an American accent, then you should probably give this a wide berth. The food: Their Fiesta Meals are good. My fave is their grilled chicken, Liempo, Sinuglaw (which is basically Ceviche with grilled BBQ bits don't knock it till you tried it), Tanigue. The calamari is entirely too oily but if you are out for drinks on a budget and need to have your bar chow fill then it'll do. If you are a smoker: they've got al fresco dining options.
My family and i had our dinner here one time. Their sinigang soup is good. I love their crispy tadyang. Very crispy and flavorful. It was my first time here and i was mezmerized. I will really go back here for more. Very affordable prices.
Went here with my friends last year I think. Jay-J's is located near metrowalk and home depot. It's a nice place to hangout. They serve filipino food here. We ordered Pork sisig, manggang hilaw and bagoong, sizzling pusit and we also tried their delish sinigang. The price and the serving is ok.
Jay J's Restuarant Grill Metrowalk Features All Time Pinoy Favorite Dishes Went shopping this weekend at a bazaar in Metrowalk and stopped over at J Jay's Restaurant to sample their dishes since we are quite hungry that evening. My initial impression of the place when it comes to ambiance there is nothing special or awesome on how this resto look. I am even wondering why the flooring is uneven with a tweaking plywood floor raised platform that squeaks each time you step. But anyway we came in for the food. We ordered just 2 things since we are just two hungry shoppers. FOOD: *Chicken Sisig (photo no.1) The chicken bits are tender and cooked just right. Though it has good taste but there is nothing too special about this dish. Probably it needs something to perk it come like more onions and green pepper to intensify the sisig taste. But it is still good. *Sizzling Bulalo Steak (photo no.2) Wow. At first my fellow foodie niece was hesitant she told me that probably this dish would be all fat and bone but she was wrong. This dish is meaty, tender and juicy overflowing with true bulalo taste sans the hullabaloo of condiments. Pure beefy taste that is so yummy. Super love it! *Iced Tea They serve delicious tasty Iced Tea blend. SERVICE: Staff here are attentive and polite. VERDICT: J Jay's Metrowalk offers home cooked style meals plus other grilled dishes that are tasty and reasonably priced. It is a good place to hang out with family and friends. They have an outdoor sitting area for those who are casually chilling with cold beer and good food. Try their seafood dishes like fish sinigang and camaron along with grilled liempo for a satisfying meal. I recommend this place for value. Cheers!
