Würzburger Karl-straub-haus - Geroda

Thank you for everything! We're a family from Hamburg. 2 adults and 3 boys aged 6, 9 and 14. We were lucky to spend two days and two nights in July. Magnificent views, many excursions, delicious food and warm staff have enchanted our stay. Our most beautiful memories of 2022 are connected to the spicy citizen Karl Straub House! Located in the nature park protected area of the Bavarian Rhön, at 786m altitude. Restaurant with seats outside and inside. Clean sanitary facilities. Very nice children's playground. Actually parking about 250m away. Menu from sausage to carving average. No self-made. Great view.

Although the weather was good for hiking, the house was closed because of bad weather. We have seen daily on the Internet after the opening hours and we are happy to have a nice break after a long hike, as we did not find any indication of closure there. For a hike of the Rhön-Klub a real disappointment and in today's time of the Internet absolutely unnecessary.
