Kaffeehaus - Germantown

We were there on a Sunday morning, were greeted nicely and helped with our order as this was our first visit. The coffee was good but a limited food menu, which was okay. The young lady that helped us was friendly and helpful.

A very unique atmosphere located in a historic former 1-Room School House. Smaller and cozy, it has limited table and counter-type seating; as well as a 3-couch w/2 end tables area. Good supply of outlets.Good essential Coffe espresso drinks, along with some bakery goods. My banana muffin was great. My friend thought her cinnamon roll was a tad dry old tasting. 2 of our coffees were great. I wasn’t too into my waffle latte…not sure the name matched what I was expecting, but it was acceptable.Our barista was a top notch server. Friendly efficient. We also bumped into a local family visiting and enjoyed some great conversation.It was too cold to do the outdoor seating, but that looked very inviting. May try that if we pass by in the warmer weather.

First time there! What an adorable atmosphere and loved the coffee! I'll be back!

Ordered a latte, flavor was average, it came out lukewarm with no foam.

I want this place to be 5 stars so much, and hope it might get there. The building is SO charming and I like the set up indoors and out. It's clean and comfortable.Unfortunately, I've been twice now and it missed the mark both times. My first visit, there was only one person working. I could see the food behind the counter ready to be set out but it wasn't on display yet. I wanted to buy a bagel with my coffee and was told I couldn't because she hadn't had time to package them in plastic yet. Skip the plastic, throw it on a plate, and charge me. I get that it's busy but find a way to make the sale. I had a coffee, then had to go elsewhere for some food that morning. My 2nd visit I tried a cowboy cookie a chai latte. Cookie is ok. Chai latte is lukewarm and weak I have a 20 oz and it feels like they did the chai measurements for a smaller size and then topped it off with (cold? milk to fill the cup?Again, great atmosphere where I'm happy to do some work and relaxing while I'm in the area. Atmosphere will likely convince me to return. If 3rd time is a charm I'll gladly update my rating but, so far, I'd describe this place as great potential with some kinks to work out.
