We booked for 8:00 for a dinner with my wife on the occasion of my birthday. the room is really pretty and the tables are well spaced. we had a table on the edge of a window with a view on the lake when the store is lifted. the staff was rather smiling but sometimes a little to the west and outdated. When we moved to the table, we were given the drinks card and nothing, no one else to order the aperitif. I had to make signs on several occasions so that a server can pick up the command. I've opted for the glass of theophile rorderer champagne. This one was very fresh and good, a pity that nothing is proposed with the cuts. we then ate the menu flavors that was correct but without great inventivity. for the cheese tray, not a great choice and several goats but a pity I don't like the goat no luck to me. otherwise I also found the small portions served and I asked the server to cut a second slice so the cut portion was ridiculous. I had a bottle of white wine from Burgundy by the waiter for the meal and his choice was quite good because the wine was very well married with the dishes. for coffee it took a little while to wait and I had to ask them several times. In conclusion, I find it a little pity to have such a beautiful setting with such an exceptional situation and not to enjoy it. professional staff and a little more attentive, a slightly more creative chef and we could make this place one of the most popular restaurants of gerardmer.

Not too many chichis but quite elaborate yet! the frame is sober with a very nice view of the lake, the competent service, the menu at 35€ entry, dish, cheeses and dessert more than satisfactory !
