The Geraldton Hotel

We were surprised that the restaurant was practically empty when we arrived at 18.20 clock, with a foot game. as it was the school holidays, many places were booked out and here it was empty that we thought that the food should not be good. therefore, to our greatest surprise all steaks; scotch, porterhouse and even the rump were well and perfectly cooked medium rare. the sauces were just okay. also great chips and very fresh salads. could do with more dressing on the salat. we also had the chicken parmigiana, which was a huge serving; cracked on the outside and still moist inside. great friendly service from the young lady there also.

This is a great rural hotel. spacious rooms that are comfortable, a roof top bar, and a bar restaurant with a fantastic menu and wine list. highly recommended.

Had dinner in the beer garden area, access was a little tricky than next door to lester st was closed, so had to park in fitzgerald st when it came to go was a little confusing every party of 6 adult all ordered different meals. all came in time and beautifully presented. everyone enjoyed and there was a lot on the teller. I had a steakburger, meat was a little hard. my daughter had surfing and shaking, her steak was also a little hard, but the garnels were good size and perfectly cooked in a delicious sauce.

One of the few places that were opened during ny. Bar staff excellent and friendly. the personal in the food area did not know too attentive, did not know which specificizations they had advertised on the internet, and claimed new cook and new menu! eating was ok, but served on melamin. plates, interesting.

Luckily I didn’t order the mini fish chips! Got what they call the traditional fish chips and ended up with 2 small 3inch by 3inch pieces and barely a handful of chips. Not one to normally complain I returned to it and after...a bit of deep sighing managed to get another small piece to make up at least a small fillet. But won’t be going back soon.
