John Mueller Black Box Barbecue

The best brisket and barbecue sauce in Georgetown! It can be a bit on the expensive side, but it's definitely worth it! The service is excellent and very friendly. I brought over 7 pounds of meat to a valued client to show my appreciation for their business, and they all loved it! Eleven people devoured every last bit! If you want to be a hero to your lunch recipients, I highly recommend ordering from these folks! Just be sure to get extra, because you never want to be the one who doesn't bring enough!

Recently, I have been going out of my way to find some really good brisket. I usually avoid the places in downtown Austin because I refuse to wait over two hours for barbecue—or any food, for that matter. I live in Round Rock and often find myself traveling to Lockhart, Buda, or Marble Falls in search of the best spots. To my surprise, I discovered that John Mueller has a barbecue trailer right in my own backyard, in Georgetown! I tried a brisket sandwich while I was there, and it was more than satisfying. The brisket was moist and tender, with crispy burnt ends and a subtle smoky flavor. The sauce was a peppery red, which was tasty, but not really my preference—I'm more of a fan of yellow sauce. Still, I’m thrilled to have found such a high-quality barbecue place so close to home.

Deliciousness! Very friendly staff. Brisket does not need any condiments added. Sandwiches are huge and meat with every bite. Great set up. Will definitely be back!!

This is the kind of restaurant worth going the extra mile for. The Texas BBQ is fantastic, and there's no fuss about it. The vibe is laid-back, with seating outdoors under a shady tree while the oak logs smolder beneath the meat. Make sure to arrive early; once they sell out of a particular cut, they won’t have any more until tomorrow.

Can not beef the atmosphere....Bbq is smoked and then sold out of a trailer. You will eat on picnic tables under a huge canopy of trees. Damn good beef ribs and pork ribs. They had a cooler of free Lonestar beer when we visited. Yes, Sir....this is Texas!
