The Golden Buddha - Georgetown

At the corner of Moate and Asher St Georgetown. It is on the right from Waratah Village heading on Georgetown Rd.

Best chinese food i've ever eaten! So generous with portion size. Vegetable to meat ratio is so great! I ordered a satay hokkien and a combination short soup and the amount of meat was insane!!! 100% worth the money and this place will be a go to craving for the rest of my life! I guess each to their own but my lord i'm a LOVER of chinese food and this is the best i've ever had in Australia!

2 hours from the first meal to the last. service and the hideaway to overload. You'll like one and go somewhere else.

For about ten years not here. my wife and I have taken away tonight, as we don't have a kitchen yet while installing a new one in our house that we are renovating. beautiful to be back in newcastle after all these years. the meal was hot, tasty and in harmony with what we get in the run of the years of the golden buddha. rusty nails, huh with cashew nuts and special fried rice. everything super. Oh, I forgot that my wife's muted tears make me get it next time. thanks young good job, we will be back.

It had just taken an hour to get out food after being told 35 minutes on the phone. Just slightly annoying, hope the food is better then the service.
