Officina Di Cucina - GENOVA

As we were leaving next day from Brignole station this seemed to be a good spot for getting to know the area. Lucky choice! A proper restaurant with proper tablecloths and napkins, friendly staff and a splendid selection of Ligurian fare. This was also our introduction to Vermentino wine, which is made (not exclusively) in Liguria. We went on to drink more elsewhere but this was an excellent introduction sold by the glass.

Limited if you don’t like or can’t eat pizza or tuna however what we did have was freshly cooked and well flavoured. The waitress spoke excellent English so was able to translate the menu.

I was just looking for a place close to my hotel and tried the Officina . What a great surprise! It’s a really small place with a few additional tables outside. Looked like the owner’s well-behaved kids doing an art project at one table. Somehow they took me despite no reservation though you will likely need one on most nights. Everything was great and the rolli with eggplant and fish were to die for. Highly recommended!
