I would have liked to see more pasta dishes (being in Italy), but overall an enjoyable, relaxing meal. Service was excellent. I did not feel at all rushed. Nice wine selection and the local wine that I got by the glass was quite good.
The food and service is very good at Il Gozzo, the restaurant inside the NH Hotel Genoa Marina. We were here for a conference and were delighted by the several lunches and dinners we had here. The restaurant specializes in fresh seafood, but the veal Marsala I had was outstanding. The breakfast buffet offers many excellent choices. Perhaps most delightful is Il Gozzo overlooks the marina with an excellent outdoor patio and floor to ceiling Windows for dining indoors.
This restaurant is located with the NH Collection Marina Hotel. The food and service were fantastic and is well worth a vistit in the evening. The restuarant has the option of dining inside or out. We often chose to dine outside due to the lovely views of the marina.
We came here along with the family and the food was so good,and the service either. The location is among the best in Genova. reallly suggest this reastaurant. I will come back as soon as I can. Carlo
20 minutes after ordering our Christmas 2017 dinner a la carte , the soup arrives: completely indifferent : grounded spinach -no flavor at all, in which some minor mozzarella pieces were floating with some dry peppers ? tomatoes ? , it was impossible to define -definitely from a can... Then we waited 45 min for the risotto, again very flat, the chestnut flavor that promised the menu was impossible to be found... Then we waited 45 min for the main courses: -A «Beef filet with chestnuts and brunello sauce served with onions in a bittersweet style» and -A «Lamb carré in foie grass and almonds crust with roasted potatoes and demi-glace with wild mushrooms» Both plates were an unbelievable mess !!! The beef filet, although properly cooked-medium as ordered- was very fast defrosted, the chestnuts were very tiny and they had no flavor at all- definitely from a can . The brunello sauce failed- it was more water mixed with the blood of the fillet and the “bittersweet” style of the onions is still a big mystery... The Lamb carré was not carré, just separated lamb chops very fast defrosted. Absolutely not a hint of foie grass not even in the flavor, the almond crust was not prepared with the food just added on the top, it was not possible to find one potato in the whole plate and of course no wild mushrooms, just in captivity in a can... One of the worst plates ever!!! The Beef filet was in €28 and the Lamb plate €27 !!!! Then we waited 15 min for the dessert... I do not continue, I have deleted it from my memory... Total price for two persons €175, but with a bottle of an excellent Chianti €30 . No comments... But I have to admit that the service was very polite and nice, which is of extreme importance when the kitchen is performing so badly... It is really very strange because for 5 mornings we had breakfast in the same restaurant and it was very rich and nice.
