The kitchen is incredible and the service friendly and welcoming. it is great to see the owners and the whole family work in the restaurant that gives everything that this warm and home feeling. the restaurant empraces vegetarian and vegan and offers thoughtful plant-based options that really tickle her tounge. they can even enjoy full on vegan 5 cures in the most romantic garden restaurnat I have ever been. because they only use glass-tray, reusable serviettes, focus on local and organic ingredients and even have an electric car charge in front of location, I felt that the venue takes care of environmental issues and local support. I recommend a visit. especially for a gletscher in the beautiful city gengenbach.
That was nice. especially those with sesame. the disappointing could be a bit disappointing for an asiate. risotto was too salty, but the trout was perfectly cooked. the risotto did not go well with the fish. braised wange by veals was so tender and well cooked. café gourmand was beautifully presented and the cameillentee was a perfect end. the service was perfect and it was a nice experience.
Very good food and a beautiful ambiente. good choices for veggies and even for small carb eaters. not cheap, but worth the money! we enjoyed everything.
Romance to the wedding day: arrival, feel comfortable, enjoy. That was the plan for dinner at our wedding day. A first "Beautiful Good Evening" to change a few friendly words and immediately you feel: Here you will be welcomed as a guest and prepared for a culinary evening. Arriving at the table in the tastefully decorated restaurant of the Hotel “Die Reichsstadt” we experienced the next surprise. The receptionist accompanied us to a cordially covered two table, where we were congratulated on our wedding day by means of a small slate table and a bottle of champagne, although I had not explicitly asked for it when booking. A nice attention, we've been very happy about. The professionally excellently trained waiter also welcomed us and helped us with his kindly reluctant way to assemble the drinks for our menu. We started with bread specialties, butter salt and an oil tincture with the following greeting from the kitchen, a delicious corn crème brûlée. From the rich menu, my wife chose a Hokkaido pumpkins with mango and brook savor, seasonal I chose a field salad with bacon and cracherle. We chose two classics for the main dish. My wife loves bathy onion roasts from the beef ridge, which was served with hints and vegetables, and a semi-dry red wine from the Durbacher Kochberg. I preferred the Badische Zanderfilet with apple sour wort and potato puree, and the upper recommended a mild Riesling from Orteau. The visual highlights were as often the two desserts served. The lady enjoyed a gingerbread souffle with Bratapfelsorbet and I chose a Café Gourmand consisting of an espresso and a dessert variation (see photo). During the enjoyment of the treasures, the staff was consistently attentive and thus rounded off our good overall impression. The tangible history of the former Reichsstadt Gengenbach with its lively culture and its dreamy streets are already spraying your very personal romance. The Humm ́lisch-led hotel with restaurant takes up the charm of the city and spoils its guests with culinary treats and value-adding ambience, so as to have the need to come back as a visitor.
