We were lucky enough to be invited to Sunday brunch at the President Wilson Hotel and had a stylish and relaxing time choosing food from a wonderful buffet. We were a mixed party with infants to 80 year olds and there was something for all...including a supervised children's area with toys and a big TV with a range of DVDs filled with dads enjoying the latest Disney animation. The buffet costs 75chf per person without wine for adults, 40chf for children aged 6 12 and free for younger ones. The problem with a buffet of this quality and quantity is self control and the power to select especially when you discover that you can have as many of the plats chaud as you want working your way through the veggie option, the sea bass, the roast veal and the risotto. The cheese board is tempting and the range of desserts almost inexhaustible. As ever the trick is not to have too many starters a mix of Asian sushi style, through hummous and dolmades to quinoa with shrimps. You see the problem. The service was efficient and friendly arriving to whisk away plates and replace knives and forks. Definitely treats time if you have something special to celebrate with friends and the format works best I would think for a group then this is the day and the place to come. Afterwards we walked slowly along the lake to return to reality by catching a bus home in the rain no worries.

Schöne Seeterrasse in der Sonne, gute Atmosphäre, kompetentes Personal, aber für ein schwer zu kauendes Entrecote 65€ fand ich es weniger angenehm, schade.

Sie haben es geschafft, ein erfolgreiches Restaurant für asiatische Fusion zu einem mittelpreisigen Restaurant zu machen. Der Service war langsam, die Menükarte mangelte an Inspiration, die Weinkarte existierte gar nicht. In einem Hotel wie dem President Wilson ist dies sehr überraschend. Wir bestellten das Tagesmenü, und zwei der drei Gäste erhielten ihre Vorspeisen 15 Minuten vor dem Dritten. Die Hauptgerichte waren stark überkocht. Und wir mussten die Rechnung dreimal verlangen. Zusätzlich dazu ist es ein wenig lächerlich, 59 CHF für das Tagesmenü und 45 CHF für einen burger mit mangelnder Qualität und Service zu verlangen. Mein Fehler, dort zu reservieren!

The preceding comment is dead right: They have managed to take a successful asian fusion restaurant and turn it into an overpriced average restaurant. Service was slow, the menu was lacking in inspiration, the wine list non existent . No manager around to pay attention to the running of the place. Portions are tiny. Ready made pastries for dessert took 20 mn to arrive. It 's a pity because it 's a nice terrace with a view but clearly management doesn 't care to fix this place.
