We went there for dinner. Location is good, service was great, we enjoyed their food very much. We wish we lived nearby so we can go more often. We'll go back again for sure!
My wife and I stumbled on this restaurant whilst walking around Carouge looking for somewhere to eat. Without a reservation the staff made us most welcome and fitted us in at the bar seating. Staff on duty this evening, Oct were busy but...very attentive and helpful in guiding us through the menu. We tried several starters and a mix of main courses, all excellent. We would go back and would recommend the venue without reservation.
Went there with my wife. Always wanted to be in this restaurant. Although I thought it was too chic from outside, it was a big surprise when going inside: the restaurant is more accessible than ever. Even a family there. Casual look. We arrived TEN...minutes in advance and were greeted in a very bad way by a waiter. I told we had reservation for is instead of saying something he made the classic gesture: so what We had to squeeze in the entrance of the kitchen and we were not offered to ask for a drink or something. Very bad service. Also, nobody took our jackets. Imagine yourself just stand up in a restaurant? Pakupaku is the first restaurant I've ever been without a waiting area. We sat squeezed amongst others and we asked for the food. Wine choice good, prices moderate for a restaurant in Carouge. Food price expensive for what it is. They have this Asian fusion touch and the food was really good. Our bad server it's a pity I do not know his name just left us after we asking for water apart from wine, like times. He was replaced by Bilal, one of the best and most attentive servers I've had the pleasure to meet. Explained the desserts, took care of us, was attentive. I hope the owner, who was there, values the service of people like Bilal. Without drinks and alcohol, for a meal for couple. I will vote for not coming back. I was waiting to go there since a long time ago and I had too many disappointments.
We really enjoyed our diner at Pakupaku. We did not have a reservation so we had to come back a little later, which was fine. After coming back, the service was great and very personal. They serve local wines and introduce other parts of the...menu if necessary. The terrace was full and atmospheric, but not noisy. We highly recommend visiting this place!
