Luisa's Mexican Grill - Geneva

It was okay, I guess. Chips were pretty hard and crunchy, like too crunchy, in my opinion. I ordered three chicken tacos which were decent but the chicken was pretty dry and it got laborious to chew after a while. I asked for some hot sauce and got around tray that had seven different sauces which were all extra hot, too hot for my taste. I would have liked some Choloua, not Tobasco. I'd say this place was okay.

Been waiting a while to go here. Nice wait staff. Well all got the 3 taco dinners. We all came to the same conclusion, tacos needed more meat!!!

Visiting GOTL this week and we have been sampling various restaurants in the area. Tonight we decided on Mexican and chose Luisa's. What a joke. waited at least 7 minutes for a table after asking if it mattered where we sat, since no one had acknowledged us. Barmaid indicated a couple minutes, since she was working on drinks for a large party in the back and the waitress/hostess was standing at the register looking confused. The waitress finally seated us at a table three steps away from where we were standing, if she would have just pointed, we could have seated ourselves. waitress (wish I had gotten names) brought chips and salsa (chips were much too thick not warmed), took our drink order, my husband had water and I had the house Margarita...it was ok, barely tasted any tequila. We placed our order, Naked Burrito for him and Baja Steak Burrito for me. Less than 6 minutes and our order was being served. Seriously!? The tortilla on my burrito was barely warm and the filling had no taste, my husband's naked burrito looked like a salad with some grilled chicken, tomatoes, onions thrown on a head of chopped iceberg lettuce. The entire experience was horrendous!

This food was okay, but it is not really Mexican Food. More like stylized food that is a parody of real Mexican food. I have no idea is Scott C. has ever been to Mexico but it is definitely an oversell on his claims.

Great Friendly Service and Excellent food at a Very Reasonable Price and the Owner is Very Nice too and asks if your Food is Ok I say it's Awesome Mexican cuisine especially for the Price and Great size portions!!!!with the Great Ambiance is like your in Mexico so it's like a Mini GETAWAY!!!! So Cool !!! So if You Love Mexican Food give this Place a Try You will NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!!!!Especially due to its so Close being in Downtown GENEVA .So it's Very Convenient to get to and VERY EAST TO FIND ALSO !!!!
