The establishment of the restaurant is filled with antiques that recall another era. The service was excellent and we enjoyed relaxing on the lawn after enjoying the view.
The castle is beautiful, the grounds are beautiful, and the food was delicious. They are very short staff (and would like to come to you for an interview, but they took care of us well. The steaks were amazing, and Gumbo was tasty with a juicy smokey taste and a light kick. It was even better than left remnants! We enjoyed ordering and sharing some desserts. Peanut buttercake was very rich, Pistachio cheesecake was sweet and a fun and unique dessert (it is pretty sweet! . The apple pie and ice cream were all it should be.
We were in Belhurst Castle on Wednesday night. I really wanted to eat at Edgar. I called earlier in the week, but reservations were booked. When we arrived, we checked in the restaurant and were still full. We stopped a little later and they sat in the bar area at a table (as they were still full). Service was great! The bartender/waiter was very attentive. The food was good, but the atmosphere was great. I thought my dinner was a little expensive $50 for 6 Jumbo Scallops over white rice and a few farmers upstairs. Wine was also expensive. $34 for the same bottle we had just bought in their wine store for $19. When we brought our own bottle, there was a fee of $15. Dessert was excellent. It was a nice quiet dinner.
