I would be willing to travel a long way for a chippy this good. in my opinion as good as they come

Sadly this is the last month to have beautifully crisp golden fish cooked by the lovely couple for the last 37 years! As always the fish is freshly prepared as you enter, big fillets and generous portions of chips. The current owners will be teaching...the new owners so hopefully the excellent standard will continue. I am sure all the regulars will want to wish a wonderful retirement to the owners and thank them for all the fantastic meals for the last 4 decades. I will miss them, having been going there since they started. Best wishes for the future

First visit of the new year, my last fish and chips was at the seaside. The quantity and portion size is up there with the very best. This is fish and chips done right by people with a passion for their food and customer service....Lovely staff. Why go anywhere else if you are in the area, in fact there are 4 others I have to pass to get there!

The best fish and chips in the area, always cooked fresh when you arrive, perfect golden batter and very generous fillets of fish, I drive past 3 others to buy my fish and chips, and well worth the extra few miles. A delightful cheery couple...who have run this excellent shop for a long time.

Had the pleasure of this fab fish chip shop being my local since I moved to the area in 1995. A traditional chippy with a menu offering freshly prepared traditional chip shop fayre, Fish , chips, pies, sausages, peas etc ,not forgetting the amazing...curry sauce. All this topped with excellent customer service makes it one of the best if not the best Fish Chip shops in Nottingham. Don't just take my word for it ,ask the eager customers waiting outside for it to open that travel from all parts of Nottinghamshire to sample these tasty offerings. Word of warning though : don't turn up at midnight expecting a kebab , it's not that kind of establishment (thankfully . No kebabs n it closes at 10pm. Thats what makes it so special is the success story it is today after all these years in the same family run ownership . What you can expect is: 1) A very clean shop . 2) Excellent customer service . 3) Top quality well cooked fresh ingredients . 4) Value for money.
