Thai Express - Gatineau

Beautiful environment to enjoy their meal! very good and fast!

We had a terrible experience at this restaurant and will not be returning. In addition to not receiving our drink, we also encountered a rude cashier. We arrived to pick up our online order at 6:57pm for curbside pickup, but after waiting for 5 minutes with no service, my husband went into the restaurant to inquire about our order. The cashier was unpleasant and informed him to just wait because they were busy. We waited an additional 20 minutes only to discover that our order was not ready for pickup. To our disappointment, we realized they had forgotten to give us our drink when we arrived home. We would have preferred to order directly from the restaurant if we had known our order would be delayed. The cashier should also receive training in good customer service etiquette.

I have visited this restaurant several times before and have always experienced long wait times for my order. However, during my most recent visit, not only did it take 20 minutes to receive my food, but they also got my order wrong. I only realized this once I got home. I tried calling multiple times before someone finally answered, but they argued with me insisting they got the order right. They insisted I come in person immediately to fix the mistake. I explained that I was in a meeting, but the person on the phone was not interested in accommodating me. I ended up joining the Zoom meeting from my phone and after they checked their records, they admitted their mistake and offered to prepare a new meal. Unfortunately, once again they did not prepare what I had originally asked for and replaced the tofu with shrimp. This resulted in a wasted evening and a ruined meeting. I did not ask for a refund or any extras, I just wanted my order corrected, but they were unable to deliver. This experience was very disappointing and I regret not standing up for better customer service.

I find that all the offerings at Thai Express are very tasty, varied, creatively prepared, and bursting with flavor. It's authentic Thai cuisine filled with aromas and cooked to perfection! My favorite dishes are the shrimp Thai noodles and fried rice.
