Scores - Gatineau

I hosted my brother's 40th birthday party at a restaurant located at the Train Yard station in Ottawa. We had the option of choosing from a salad bar for our meal and had a great time celebrating my brother. I have also dined at their location in Gatineau, PQ on Maloney Boulevard, which is conveniently close to my sister. I recently called the Ottawa location and found out that they are just starting to reopen due to COVID-19 capacity restrictions. I'm looking forward to when they can serve more people again, as the cooks are back in the kitchen. I may stop by for lunch next time I'm in Ottawa.

Maybe I just have some seriously bad luck, but the last 3 or 4 times we've tried to come they've ended up being closed. If you are not going to be open, make sure it says that on Google or your website so people don't bother wasting gas and time. I advise anyone wanting to go to call ahead and make sure they are open. I was really looking forward to coming here for my birthday, finally being able to come back since the pandemic began, but nope I'm out of luck again, thanks.

I used to frequent this restaurant before the pandemic and had a great time. The salad bar was a highlight with a wide variety of options. Unfortunately, due to covid restrictions, the salad bar is no longer available and I have noticed a decline in the quality of the food. I understand that finding staff is difficult, but the food just doesn't taste as good as it used to. The waiter was very friendly, though. The chicken I ordered was dry and overcooked, and the mashed potatoes were clumpy. The buns also seemed smaller and burnt. The waiter kindly brought us new buns and extra, which was appreciated. The atmosphere is also a bit somber now, as the restaurant is not as lively as it used to be. I don't think I will be returning, but I do hope for the best for this place, as I used to really enjoy it.

I’m surprised at some of the other reviews, I’ve gone there several times in the last year since they’ve reopened and it’s been very good. The burgers, ribs, chicken, club sandwiches, entrees and deserts were all great! The waitress and waiters are all so friendly and go out of their way to do the extra. The salad bar will be nice to get back but otherwise, happy to be able to eat out again!Martine

Not impressed at all! We drove all the way to the trainyard location from Barrhaven just to find out that they were closed. They didn't even bother updating google to let their customers know that they are closed! Will not be going back!
