Le Bistro Pho - Gatineau

The only good pho in hull a bit pricier than normal pho resto but way cleaner and fresh, Worth trying !

The pho's broth had very little flavour and the ingredients were skimpy, that is, very little meat, etc was added to the bowl.We also had pork dumplings that were lukewarm and covered with a cold, glutinous peanut sauce. The offering here was one of the least enjoyable bowls of pho that I have had.That said, the place was popular so their other dishes must be good and the two women running the place were hard working and I want them to succeed despite having to be honest about my perception of the food. Maybe it was a new chef.

I've already wrote a comment on that restaurant, but I have to add something else. I know that is hard to have a restaurant... and keep it open... but the owner of this restaurant still continue to impress me with her food!!! The taste is always getting better and better... the Pho is absolutly amazing, the Vemicelli #9, my plate, is one of the best Vermicelli plate I've eated! Bravo to the owner! I will continue to go there for THE best Pho in the Gatineau!

This is a nice cozy Vietnamese resto serving authentic dishes. Portions are small but quality is good. Don't expect fast food portions. The one thing I would suggest they fix is the smell upon entering the resto near the stairs to go downstairs. There is a sewer smell that gives you a bad impression as soon as you walk in. Too bad because this resto would have got a higher score. Would still recommend to a friend.
