Shrimp Boat - Gastonia

The food is pretty bland. They don't have sauces to accommodate the dishes that are served. Tarter Sauce doesn't work well with everything.

The first time Shrimp Boat tried a few days ago and it wasn't bad. I had a combo plate; Fish, green shrimp, hush puppies, frits and added to a devil crab. Shrimp was very good and I also enjoyed the lush puppies. The fish was fine, but seemed a little fishy for me smell wise, but I am also 8mo pregnant so hey????? Sweet tea was also really good! Overall, I was satisfied and I plan to go back and try their chicken that everyone raving about!

DELICIOUS FOOD and Soooo worth the ride from Charlotte. Make sure you have CASH, but if not, they have an ATM on site.

There is no chicken like the shrimp boat chicken you have the absolutely best fried chicken there is, period. I've been eating on the shrimp boat for 30 years and I've never had a bad meal. They make their own cocktail sauce and it is warm. If you like fried chicken, this place is a must.

Food is pretty good here. Had the fried chicken which was pretty tasty. Tried the hot wings also, good taste but not very spicy. If your looking for a fried meal this place is a good choice. Fast service and okay prices. Wife had chicken strips. They were nothing special just the frozen kind you can get in grocery stores.
