Wankhaus - Garmisch-Partenkirchen

Absolutely faboulous view over Garmisch, Alpspitz and Zugspitze. Friendly waiters and a huge choice of regional food to really fair prices and generous helping (compared with other restaurants on mountains there), e.g.Käsespätzle with lettuce or Kaiserschmarrn for less than 10€.Highlights: view and the cows

We just went for a drink after arriving at Wank mountain. The waiter was alright, he seemed pretty friendly but I was too busy admiring the views to take real notice of him. The views is what makes this place.

Stopped for quick drink and rest while visiting Wank mountain. Service very good. Weather excellent, sat outside, great views of mountain and countryside.

Wife was on a wheelchair so was very glad this restaurant is very accessible . Food is very yummy and reasonably priced but the views are priceless. I like that they have thought of the little ones as well with small play area outside and cute little huts to protect against the wind. Even in winter it is very difficult to find a free table on the terrace as many people take the cable car to this summit. If you are lucky enough to get a table or find some seats then you have an awesome view and can enjoy this with delicious Bavarian style food and a well deserved drink. The waiter service is fast and friendly and prices are normal for this area. Will return again.
