Only a ravioli del plin and a ventresca de tonno remained in our palatal memory, this latter one at an excessively high cost € 38). A competent and tasty tiramisu is also worth mentioning. Besides, there is nothing to hold back from vulgar “penne, pomodoro, burrata, and basil”, and a dry “veal with endives, aubergine and pistachios”. And the other dessert, a semifreddo, didn’t match the quality of the tiramisu. In a possible return to Lake Garda, I see no good reason for a new visit to the Ristorante Villa Giulia.
A beautiful setting, innovative menu with choices to suit anyone (a whole vegan set menu option! , fantastic wine list and wine flight options. Service was exceptional and the whole evening was faultless.
We went with high expectations, our five star L hotel told us it has great food, it has a Michelin star. The setting is wonderful, lovely terrace, charming villa that’s also a hotel, nice service, but when it came to the food, it was a huge disappointment the chef tries too hard and nothing worked, the tastes were conflicting and largely tasteless... For the price of some €120 per head we expected much better. A disappointing evening, saved by the service and setting... It pains me to give them 3 stars.
Pretty restaurant Either no Airconditioning or it was broken staff unprofessional and vegetarians stay away!!
