A must stop every time in Southern California.Love this place as it's a one stop shopping.
My very first time trying this place. I ordered the Hakata Ramen. It is a very fast food casual type restaurant where you order at the counter. It's also a drive thru for convenience. They have indoor seating and a few tables outside. The inside is organized and clean atmosphere.I had one of their best seller, Hakata Ramen. The broth tasted a bit too sweet for my liking and a little too plain and watery. I prefer the thick, creamy broth. The noodles though was firm and good consistency. You can add different extra toppings if you like at a fee. I was a little disappointed considering I really loved the other location.Service was so dry, the guy at the counter taking my order was not too helpful. I think he would rather be elsewhere.A below average experience. With so many excellent restaurants I'm the area, especially Ramen, I probably will not come back at this location.
I love this place. The quality of the foods is very consistent for many years. This place offers very similar ramen to what you would get in Japan. The price is getting a little high lately but cannot blame them due to inflation. I also appreciate that they open long hours. Many similar ramen places open at 11:30 am which is very annoying when trying to beat lunch traffic.
POV: VEGAN Ok, so this is my 1st time trying this place, ordered it on Ubereats, paid $26.95 (thank god, I had a discount code if not it would have been 45 dollars or something I got $20 off) but we all know these delivery services charge and arm and a leg : but I would have been pissed if I would have paid that much money. Cause even then I don 't think the $26 I paid for was worth it.So this is what I got:1 Vegetarian Ramen2 Fried Onions1 Spinach1 Dried Seaweed1 Spicy MisoNow, I am aware that ordering to go versus dining in the food quality is different so I 'm not knocking too many points on that. Cause this broth and noodles arrived COLD Here is my actual review on my ramen , it was def lacking flavor and texture! The veggie broth had cabbage and bean sprouts all soggy inside. Beside those veggies if I had not ordered spinach and fried onions I would have had 0 veggies. I wish I would have taken pictures of the food, but I paid $4 for 5pcs of spinach NOT WORTH IT. ALSO, I was thrown off my that tofu seasoned meat it looked like ground beef!!! I thought it was meat for a bit lol.So here is what I thought was cool:1. +1 points for having a VEGAN OPTION2. +2 points for the seasoned tofu meat most ramen places just offer tofu.3. +1 point for nicely packed Verdict: I thought this ramen was way too expensive for what you 're getting and way too bland. I would not mind paying $9 10 for a bowl of this ramen again (with none of the side I ordered) but paying $17 FOR THIS not including any veggies. That 's a huge N O. If you 're vegan and want to try good ramen you 're better off going to: 1. The Ramen Joint (by LAX) 9 102. Tatsu (Sawtelle) 10 10 3. Ramen Hood (DTLA, Grand Central Market) 11 10 don 't take my review for it, try it yourself
