The banchan selection here is fantastic, with delicious options like pickled cucumbers, potato salad, fish cake, and kimchi. They also rotate in japchae, although it was not available during my last visit. We ordered the seafood pancake and bulgogi, both of which were exactly as we expected. The seafood pancake was large, and the bulgogi portion was more than enough for two people. Despite its small size, with only 6-7 tables, there is parking available in the back. We will definitely be returning in the future.
The one star is solely based on the quantity of the food provided. Based on the good yelp reviews, I thought I give this place a try. I went by the place after grocery shopping at AR. Just thought I check the place out and pick up a menu for the future. My mom loves Korean tofu soup. I went inside. The lady was very friendly. There were no one else there. It was 2:30 pm. I got the menu was ready to leave, but decided to order daboki, #41, Stir-fry rice cakes. When I got home I was so surprised by the minimal quantity of the rice cake. There was literally 12 rice cakes, that were swimming in a large pool of sauce. It was the most pathetic looking daboki I've ever gotten. Okay, the food is good and I know the economy is bad, but 6 rice cakes do not justify in any economy the $16.99 for the dish. I will not be returning to this place, as i would not squander my hard earned money on such a minimal amount of food. Thank you dear lady for being so nice, but I feel bilked. Oops, sorry, 6 rice cakes was what my mom and I each got from this dish. So sad!
Visit second times. We like here food. Middle dinner time. We did wrong order. Instead of Braised spicy Monk ribs 38.99. We ordered one meal 16.99 and one rice 2.00. Waitress gave 5 side dish. Hide one and Served 6th one later. Those amount are one chopstick. Ask side dishes 3rd times only 3 sides. One waitress served looks like nice. She served 2 customer side dishes a lot. She counted and served side dish not full first time and this time. She served side dishes different numbers. When I founded it she served me 6th side dish at first time. Owner said to me You order one We don 't want to give side dishes more . I am going to order Pork cutlet but I don 't. Discrimination Post sign serve side dish limited Best way to lost Coustomer !!!!!! Why don 't make negative star Yelp!
This place is one of those little hidden hole-in-the wall type gems, with limited tables, no-frills decor, but oh boy....amazingly hot and fresh, well prepared, and really delicious authentic Korean food......that's oh so comforting! Service was excellent as well with the very nice and hard-working lady hectically running around making sure their diners are happy, well taken care of, and well fed. The menu has so many seriously delicious sounding dishes, but with just the two of us dining here, we managed to narrow down our choices to just two dishes.....the Seafood and Green Onion Pancake (my fave Korean dish) and the Braised Spicy Chicken. While we waited for these main dishes to be prepared, we were served the traditional variety of Korean sides, and they were all so fresh, well prepared, and delicious.....of which we had a couple of rounds of. Definitely some of the best we've eaten......and we've eaten a lot! As for the main dishes.....loved them both! The seafood pancake was thick full of ingredients and had a wonderful crisp on top....because we requested that it be crisped a bit more....so yummee good! One of the best Korean pancakes I have ever had. As for the braised spicy chicken ......oh my.....kind of like a home-cooked stew....with wonderful flavors, made with fresh ingredients, just the right spiciness, and chicken so moist and tender.... a very well prepared and satisfying comfort dish, and it went so well with a bowl of their hot and steaming bowl of brown rice. Needless to say, we filled up pretty quick as the portion sizes were quite big....so we gladly packed the leftovers to take home. We are seriously glad we discovered this little place as it's truly legit as far as quality, freshness, and deliciousness go. I can quite confidently say that this is perhaps the best Korean food I have ever eaten anywhere, and we will most definitely be back soon to try all their other yummy dishes.
This is a no frills restaurant which looks a bit like a warehouse inside and focuses more on authentic high quality Korean food more than decor. It was a bit loud inside and fans were blasting air straight into my face during the hot summer. Free parking is available outside. Some of the dishes on the menu are rare to find in the US and was pleasantly surprised by all the options I had a hard time deciding what to eat!Definitely want to come back to try more items on the menu. Many older Korean adults were eating there and/or taking food to go and seemed to have a good relationship with the owner usually a telltale sign that a restaurant is authentic and worth your while !
