Ruth's Chris Steak House Garden City

Food was okay. Nothing special. I would go somewhere else for the price. I couldn’t eat the lobster bisque because there was no flavor to it. Only tiny pieces of lobster in it, but I didn’t sent it back. I got the lobster tail and the oz filet. The filet was the same size as my daughters filet that she ordered but the steaks were cooked perfectly. Mashed potatoes were very subpar… they came out room temperature at best. For desert I attempted the crème brûlée. It was absolutely terrible. They sugar wasn’t melted and it was served cold. It had to be returned and I got something else. I’ve never returned a dish before last night. Again. The steak was decent but over the food was not worth the price. The only saving grace was the service was impeccable.

Anniversary dinner. We were seated right away. The restaurant has a complimentary anniversary dessert. The food was great and drinks were good. The service was nice. Overall was a great experience.

Comparing to short hills Ruth Chris. This location can take a few tips. The Ceasar salad is drench in dressing. The lobster Mac and cheese was running like soup. But my server frank was AWESOME. Good servers keep you coming back although the kitchen should be smacked twice. I will go back to give them another chance. Frank did let us know they had a busy night. We understand.

Came to Garden City for a show. Ruth’s Chris is always great!
