There was only one employee, a girl with glasses, who was juggling making sandwiches, coffee, running the cash register, and tidying up the place. Even though she was very busy, she greeted me with a smile and served me promptly. The food was delicious as always. It was a bit disheartening to see one person managing everything without any help. It seemed like she was the only staff member working in the entire restaurant.
The coffee is excellent, and it always comes with a complimentary chocolate candy.
I eat here a few times a week. Opens early for coffee and has a great lunch selection. Prices are ok, a little more than the normal sandwich price, but you get what you pay for. Staff are fantastic, really friendly and attentive. The salads or really big, love the powerhouse salad and also the chicken Caesar salad. They also have a great freshly made sandwich selection , with new creations and specials on a regular basis. They also do a nice coffee or smoothie. So really a wide range of options to keep you interested if you go there regularly. Would recommend for lunch on a weekday, they do close at 4pm, so get there early.
This is a convenient place to eat when I visit our Irish office which is in the same corporate park. My two favorites are the Triple Irish sandwich and the Tuna Nicoise Salad. The staff is friendly and courteous. At lunch time it's packed because it is a popular place.
I spent several days working with a client whose HQ was in the Galway Technology Centre. O'Briens was a convenient place to have breakfast, lunch, and a coffee. Everyone who worked there was very friendly. I tried a variety of items including: Christmas Wrap (a special order turkey wrap with cranberry sauce and goat cheese) Triple Irish Breakfast Toastie
