Soul 2 Soul - Galveston

The food was really good and we enjoyed it. The reason I gave the food the four rating is my chicken wings were fried in fish grease and fried too hard. I suggest to keep your fish grease for fish because whatever else you fry in it will taste like fish plus have corn meal on it. Also, need more dessert such as homemade peach cobbler and homemade cakes. Awesome music playlist made me feel like two-stepping. We do plan to return next time in Galveston Texas.

So we ordered Ribs and shrimp, meatloaf, and a veggie plate. As you can see the sides are incorrect and there were only 2 containers in the bag. Mind you they did give 2 drinks. But missing the ribs and shrimp plate that was to have fried okra, and corn. The veggie plate missing cabbage and cornbread dressing. They instead decided to give double mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese. I called several times with no one answering my calls and we got there to see them turn the lights off at 7:49pm.

Good food but would love grilled fish or shrimp as an option.

Yes, it's a simple atmosphere, but they feed you with lots of love and generous portions there! They put love on a plate there. My smothered pork was so tender that I could cut into pieces with the plastic fork I was given. Those greens were seasoned to perfection, and they certainly didn't forget the cheese in the Mac and cheese. We left there full, and thanks to the huge portion size, with lunch for the next day. We also had great conversation with the owner and her daughter, which was the best treat of all. We felt like family as we sat there, chatting, eating this amazing food and laughing.Definitely a gem, and we can't wait to go back. Stop in for dinner that is cooked and served with love. We left with full hearts and stomachs, and so will you.

The owner was extremely friendly, I enjoyed chatting with her, the Food was amazing even though they were running on a limited menu bc of hurricane. We are from Texas but we will be back! Thank you for the hospitality Love
