Sharky's Tavern - Galveston

Pizza and cheese bread were great... we were looking for pizza when we got into town. The service was struggling and it was definitely more Bar than restaurant. I ordered Togo and glad I did, it would not have been a place I could have taken my kids inside. The wait staff took awhile to acknowledge I was waiting to pick up my Togo order. They charge extra for take out orders and extra for using a credit card. The wood fire pizza was really good-service and ambiance not so much. But... I'm not sure families are their target market anyway.

The pizza is mushy overpriced. Music is dreadful. Lunatic clientele. Weird vibe, go if you like scummy things. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Everyone that works here is an 'illegal ', and that should not be supported by the local community or tourists.

My wife and I were there in July and popped in on a late Friday afternoon. We planned to get pizza to go and have a couple of drinks after shopping and walking around all day in the scorching heat this summer. Good A/C lol. We ordered a couple of cocktails (and jello shots, lol) the bartender and manager were both very attentive and friendly. There were only a couple of other folks in there. Drinks were potent and after another round we left and went to our rental — pizza was excellent, just the right amount of crispiness and softness in the layers. We both really scarfed it down. The band called Pizazz was so amazing! Oldies music we danced all night! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
