Nate's West End Grill - Galveston

Nates offers fantastic, delicious food. The new ownership has done a great job of revitalizing both the bar and dining area. The staff is consistently friendly, which enhances the dining experience. The only downside is the low ceiling, which causes sound to bounce around and creates a very loud atmosphere, even with just a few customers present. It can be hard to hear conversations at your own table, and at times, it’s difficult to think because of the noise. Unfortunately, this issue is due to the building's structure and cannot be easily resolved.

Friendly and attentive service. Peel and shrimp were excellent, roasted potatoes great, patty melt great and the key lime pie perfect!!! Check it out!!

The pecan crusted snapper was delicious. The presentation was great. We had great service and everyone was very nice.

The food was excellent and appears to be a popular spot for locals and families. However, we found the a la carte sides to be somewhat pricey, with a small bowl of mashed potatoes costing $2.99 and arriving cold. Overall, while the food isn't fancy, it's a solid choice for the West End.

We had a great experience at the restaurant and look forward to returning more frequently.
