Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

I don't know what's being added to the food, but the last 2 times I've eaten here, my husband and I both had upset tummies afterwards. Everything is so salty now. Gosh, I don't normally eat like this, the food is super heavy. I ordered the chicken and dumplings and there were only 2 small pieces of chicken and 4 dumplings the rest of the dish was gravy, so my dish was mostly gravy. It was good but heavy and I wanted more protein. The fried apples were yummy but the corn bread was hard and over cooked. Service was good, our server was nice. Stopped here with my husband for a quick bite right before closing time. The staff were very friendly. Our food came out super quick and our waiter Cody was super awesome. never had better service. I love that huh and dump. I never disappointed her in every cracker roundabout I've ever visited. service here was excellent not liked that I had to wear a mask until I came to the table, but I guess those are the times.
