Top Hog Bbq - Gallatin

I finally made it to Top Hog, to try out this food that everyone in America brags about! I must say, I was NOT disappointed! The sides were simply delish and had the best flavor! We did have to wait a little bit and there is not a lot of room to be able to spread out. We did feel a bit rushed, because of how many people were standing on top of each other, waiting to be seated or pick up to-go orders. With that being said, there is a REASON why people are piled up everywhere...the food is worth it. Great service with smiles and their barbecue will melt in your mouth!

We visit this place from time to time and the food we order is always consistent. I usually order the catfish and it's always fresh and flavorful. Probably one of the best places for catfish, surprisingly enough is a bbq joint. My girls order the bbq baked potato when their with me and they seem to like it. My things is the bbq in my opinion isn't really a true smoked bbq flavor. It kind of reminds of the chain place down the street if you know who I mean. They have a good selection of sides and their desserts are great to help with that sweet tooth craving. Restaurant fills up fast but usually not too long of a wait as long as people aren't camping out at their table. Cash or check only is accepted here so be aware.

Best bacon cheeseburger I've ever had in a restaurant. Hand pattied. Country potatoes were a perfect pairing. The tea comes in a quart Ball jar, good cold. We got the white beans cornbread (the Hobo), too. Yum. Carry cash, it's a no card joint, but with everything the 2 of us got it was right at $25. Worth the drive.

Always a busy place but food is worth the wait. Staff is pleasant even in the busiest situation. They are a cash or check only so be prepared prices are reasonable and plates are full.

Great food especially the potato salad and tea!! Even my kids said the ranch was good!! Will be back for sure!!
