Mean Bean Roasters - GALENA

I came in for coffee and ended up staying for Gina from Galena. She's an amazing host with a fantastic personality. She explained how to brew your coffee and shared different grinding techniques with me. I created a bourbon, hazelnut, and almond blend that smells divine, and I also ordered the Churro Latte, which tasted just like its namesake. When I return to Galena, I will definitely make sure to stop by again.

Unbelievable welcoming atmosphere. They brought us into the door with the great smells and Gina was so friendly and helpful. She asked us a few questions about our coffee background and helped us choose one of the many flavors with ease. Please try the JAZY JAVA! You also have magnetic darts that you can use to throw the sign to choose your taste. So tidy!

Gina and Britney were great baristas!! They helped us get the perfect coffee for us while you go down Main Street Galena! The chocolate raspberry ice cream coffee was amazing and full of taste and the dulce de leche was smooth and delicious! We recommend you to stop when you are in the area!! A plus... is that they have roasted and ground their own beans in the store and have filled k cups of them for your home convenience!

I visited on August 5th, and the aroma inside the restaurant was amazing! I was drawn in by the sign outside that advertised Boba. I ordered a Boba Thai tea and was really excited since the nearest Boba places are usually an hour's drive from home. However, when I received my drink, I could immediately tell something was off—it was more like a Boba wrapper. I understand that Boba shakes are a thing, but I wasn't aware of that when I made my purchase. The tapioca pearls had a good flavor but were overcooked, and the Thai tea tasted watered down because of the ice. Despite this, I’d love to try other items on the menu since this place specializes in coffee rather than Boba.

The coffee is phenomenal but the staff is even better. They treat us like family every time we go there and the owner always remembers is even though we only make it to Galena 2 or 3 times a year. Love it!!
