Excellent every time!!!! Soups are great, kebabs are excellent. Perfect for lunch and dinner.

I found SRC via yelp while visiting my cousin in the area. The PLOV was phenomenal . Today I tried the lunch special Kebab lamb rib) with sliced roasted potatoes, comes with a drink berry drink)and side salad and bread and I ordered an extra steak tenderloin kebab. THIS IS TO DIE FOR. I WISH I COULD TAKE THIS RESTAURANT HOME !!! Great food and polite and welcoming staff.

The food was exceptional. I tried the Plov, which seems to be a popular dish, and it truly impressed me. It was satisfying without being too heavy, and I particularly enjoyed the unique way they prepared the carrots—it’s a signature style I appreciate. The lamb was wonderfully tender, and the brown rice complemented the meal perfectly. I also ordered the borscht, which reminded me of a cabbage version of French onion soup but without the cheese. To go along with it, I got some bread that tasted freshly baked just for me. Both dishes were fantastic! If you're looking for a casual date night and want to try something a bit different from your usual fare, I highly recommend checking out Silk Road. I just wish I could have taken some of that delicious food home with me!

Upon entering, there was a slight smell—nothing terrible, just something I noticed initially, but we quickly got used to it. The atmosphere was calming and it wasn’t very busy, which isn’t surprising for a weeknight. The decor and wall art were beautifully done, making it fun to look around. The service was friendly; the staff maintained a pleasant yet attentive distance, which I appreciated. Our food arrived quickly, so there was no long wait. Here’s what we ordered: - **Olivier Salad (4/5)**: This was a delicious and hearty salad. For those who haven’t tried it before, I found it reminiscent of a fancy egg salad, packed with various vegetables, textures, and flavors, making it a delightful dish. - **Borscht (5/5)**: Absolutely fantastic! I had never tasted borscht with potatoes and meat before, but this was spot on. They served just the right amount of sour cream, and if you request spicy sauce, they’ll bring you a tangy version that complements the borscht nicely. - **Plov (3.5/5)**: While this wasn’t our favorite version of plov, it’s easy to see why it receives high ratings on Yelp. The baked garlic served in half a clove was a highlight; you squeeze it fresh onto your dish. - **Medovik Tort (4/5)**: A solid dessert! My partner loved it and said it brought back fond memories. I thought it was quite good as well. - **Kompot (4/5)**: If you’re a fan of kompot, you’ll enjoy this one; it definitely delivers on nostalgia. My partner, who enjoys it, praised it, while as a newcomer to kompot, I found it more of an acquired taste. I enjoyed sipping it alongside our dishes, but I personally wouldn’t choose to drink it on its own. Overall, this restaurant is a gem, and we’ll definitely return to try more dishes!

I also tried the crispy chuchvara (dumplings filled with ground meat and onion) and the steamed pumpkin manti, which I believe had cumin in it. The chuchvara came with pickled onions, and I absolutely love pickled onions! They added just the right amount of acidity. The manti wasn't sweet, but it was very flavorful and satisfying. I'm definitely looking forward to coming back to try more dishes. Next time, I plan to dine in because the inside looked clean and beautifully decorated.
