Hunan Best - Gaithersburg

Service was very friendly and accommodating, but a little slow. Takeout orders seemed to take priority - I think almost their business is takeover. My group of 8 had the place for us. The food is delicious and the portions are about what you would expect. That's not for food, but it's great for the price. Most dishes came with Broccoli, and it tasted very fresh. Honestly, the broccoli pushed it from 4 stars to 5 for me.

My kids and I have been going to this restaurant for years. Great food. Nice people. My son has moved away from this area since, but I always have to eat in this restaurant when he's in town. He loved General Tso's Chicken since he was a kid, and my favorite is the crispy Aubergine. My husband loves the Beijing duck. Something for everyone.

Unfortunately, this local treasure goes out of business next week, so the owners retire. The best dumplings and soup with the friendly family that runs the show. Some of the best Chinese foods in Mayland, I'm sad to see it going.

Eating is always good. I always get the same order... egg drop soup, spring roll, my and Hunan shrimps. Delish!
