Batik Asian Cuisine Dumpling

The fried dumplings were also delightful, featuring a nice crunch and flavor that sets them apart from the usual offerings. I enjoyed their sweet green tea and hot coffee as well. Be warned, though—the tea is quite sweet! The coffee was served as a French press, complete with instructions on how to use it, which made for a fun experience. The coffee itself was absolutely excellent, though it didn’t seem to be listed on the menu as far as I could tell. Overall, it was a great experience with prompt service, an appealing menu, and reasonable prices. I definitely recommend giving Batik a try. Just one note: I wish they had provided more sauce with the dumplings!

I ordered the chicken, shrimp, and cilantro dumplings in soup, which was served in an adorable cast iron pot (see pic!). I was glad I went for the soup; while the dumplings were delicious, they really shone when I dipped them into the broth before each bite. The soup itself was quite mild, which might be considered pricey for some Americans, but I appreciated that it was easy on the stomach. It was packed with cabbage, thin slices of carrot, and noodles—though I'm not quite sure what kind they were. So tasty! I couldn’t finish my portion, but it was very satisfying. I noticed some reviews mention slow service, but my server was friendly. He was a little slow to take my order, yet the food arrived surprisingly quickly, and he was attentive throughout my meal. The restaurant is located in a nice area too. I definitely plan to come back for lunch!

My wife and I have dined at Batik several times, and it has been absolutely delightful each time. Every dumpling option is exquisite, with plenty of choices available. The curry is fantastic as well, and the owner has curated an excellent selection of wines. You won’t be disappointed, and you'll find yourself wanting to return. Enjoy your meal!

Great food, great atmosphere. Had the pad Thai, it was very good.

This was my first time legitimately trying Thai food. I really liked it! The pad Thai and dumplings are great, and well presented. The the lunch special includes a crab Rangoon which was also really good. Nice cozy ambience too. The only thing holding this place back from a 5 Star, in my opinion, is that the service was a bit slow. It makes sense because there was only one waitress, but that problem could be fixed.
