Sushi Matsuri Japanese - Gainesville

Before visiting this restaurant, I wasn't a fan of sashimi. However, after experiencing the fresh, exquisitely presented seafood here, my perspective has completely changed. Matsuri has set such a high standard that I find it difficult to go elsewhere now. The sushi rolls are also outstanding, with a menu that includes both traditional options and unique house specialties. For appetizers, I highly recommend the sautéed spinach or the fried tofu in a flavorful broth. The service is consistently excellent, and the chilled beer mugs are a perfect touch.

The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. We arrived for an early dinner, and they graciously accommodated us ahead of their scheduled dinner time. The prices are also very reasonable compared to other sushi restaurants. I would rate it 4 out of 5.

The food is incredible, and the customer service is outstanding. You won't discover more authentic sushi and Japanese cuisine anywhere in Gainesville.

I have enjoyed dine in and take out and the quality never changes ! Definitely recommend for sushi lovers or someone who wants to try it for the first time.

Been going here since 1995 and it's been consistently excellent. Seriously fresh, well presented and unpretentious. Perfect date night sushi experience away from the crowd and lack of parking in down town and celebration point
