Sushi Matsuri Japanese - Gainesville

I have been dining at this restaurant since 1995 and it has always been consistently excellent. The sushi is seriously fresh, well-presented, and unpretentious. It's the perfect spot for a date night away from the crowds and parking issues in downtown and Celebration Point.

I never used to enjoy sashimi until I tried the fresh, beautifully presented seafood at this restaurant. Now, I can't imagine going anywhere else because Matsuri has raised the bar so high. The sushi rolls are equally delicious, with a menu that includes both traditional favorites and unique house specialties. Don't miss out on the appetizers, such as the sauteed spinach or fried tofu in a flavorful broth. The service is always exceptional, and the beer mugs are always kept frosty.

I have had both dine-in and take-out experiences at this restaurant and the quality consistently impresses me! I highly recommend it for sushi lovers or anyone looking to try it for the first time.

Ever since I tried the fresh and beautifully presented seafood at Matsuri, my opinion of sashimi has completely changed. I now find myself unable to go anywhere else because Matsuri has set the bar so high. Their sushi rolls are also delicious, and their menu features a mix of classy and home specialty dishes. I recommend trying the sautéed spinach or the roasted tofu in delicious broth as appetizers. The service is always fantastic, and the drinks are served in frosty beakers.

The experience was just ok, but the staff was lovely and very friendly. The food was fresh and delicious. The restaurant was small and crowded.
