Shula's Steak House Gainesville

The service and food was absolutely impeccable! They went above and beyond!

Prices advertised on the internet for a 7 ounce fillet steak is $39.00, but $48.00 in the restaurant. Steak came out under cooked, when it came back it was charred. Server Major was good. It will be a long time before our second visit.

My boyfriend ordered Ribeye but received New York Strip. The steak did not have much taste. Our server was excellent and the bbq shrimp was absolutely delicious. And the crème brûlée was awesome also. We feel the cost of the entrees were a bit pricey for the quality we received.

Stopped by for dinner on our way to our vacation spot. I be always been a fan of Shula’s. I have been going for years. I mostly visited the Tampa location before they closed for good after Covid. The place was near empty only looked like 3-4 covers. Maybe It’s a slow time of year there with spring break and it’s not football season. Overall my experience was ok. I’m shocked to see they got rid of the French onion soup. It was always a staple with my dinner there. My steak was good. Sides came out lukewarm at best. They were out of the lava cake which again is another staple when I dine there. Service was attentive but nothing special. It’s sad to see this once great steakhouse franchise is on the downfall. I hope this place/company stays in business, but it pains me to say there are better options now.
